Synthesis of antimicrobial siliceous materials by adding sunflowers ashes with silver and copper particles

چکیده

Microbial contamination of indoor environmental surfaces is a common source for infections. Therefore, bio-deterioration in buildings materials really important to avoid, due the negative impact on human health. Consequently, functionalized and sustainable are being intensively studied control microbial colonization. Firstly, it was possible obtain silica samples by sol-gel method with addition sunflower residues form ashes together silver or copper salt produce antimicrobials solids. Secondly, synthesized solids were characterized different techniques. TEM analyses confirmed successful inclusion nanoparticles into framework mainly spherical shape, small size. Both as antimicrobial agents reduce potential cross-contamination occur, effective against wide range microorganisms, improved antifungal activity both fungal strains tested, Chaetomium globosum Alternaria alternata.
